The Ford Pinto was introduced in 1971 as Ford’s answer to the growing compact car market. Lightweight, affordable, and surprisingly versatile, the Pinto quickly became a common sight on American roads, drag strips, and eventually grassroots racing circuits across the country. From economy commuter to wild V8-swapped street machine, the Pinto developed a cult following that still exists today.
This mod pack brings the entire early first-generation Pinto lineup to Car Mechanic Simulator 2021, featuring factory-inspired restorations, sport models, race cars, drag builds, drift variants, and custom restomods. Every model has been recreated with period-correct styling, trim differences, and authentic color combinations inspired by original Ford brochures and dealer literature.
This mod recreates the complete 1971-73 Ford Pinto lineup, including multiple trims, body styles, and custom variants.

The 1973 Pinto IMSA RS is inspired by a real Pinto race car that competed during the 1970s IMSA era, reimagined here with a modern turbocharged 4-cylinder race engine.
The 1973 Pinto Restomod features a modern 5.0L Coyote V8 swap.
The 1973 Pinto V8 Swap is powered by the legendary 429 Boss engine.
Three separate Kaen drift-inspired variants are included, each featuring unique liveries, aggressive aero styling, and turbocharged 2JZ engine swaps. The “Kaen” theme uses custom flame graphics inspired by modern drift and street racing culture. (“Kaen” translates to “Flame,” fitting perfectly for the Pinto’s fiery reputation.)
