Description:

Hey guys, what’s up, SCMOwns here. Welcome back to the Tales of Porkchop

The thumbnail and title are subject to change whenever I do more work on this, it’ll eventually look a bit more generic and more like the other thumbnails I do.

This is a public test pack for all future WWII German skins I make since I don’t want to update the other packs. In here, eventually, you will see all sorts of various skins from all branches of the Wehrmacht, SS, and other groups. This pack will not be updated for a while, however. I made this skin as I felt like honing some skills, namely improving my UV unwrapping abilities.

Skins

There is only one at the current moment.

  • Waffen-SS 1940
    • A pretty basic, generic member of the Waffen-SS during the Invasion of France during 1940, however, his generic appearance can make it subject to fit in with time periods such as 1944. With no cuff title or unique insignia to boast, he fits all kinds of different regiments, though I mainly looked at Das Reich, the VT regiments, and Totenkopf. Standard SS camouflage, I wanted the smock to be lateral, but there isn’t a pattern of that available anywhere, or if there is, I haven’t found it. Time to get people to donate me $250 so I can buy a repro smock of it from SM Wholesale. Otherwise, he’s got an M36 tunic under there, the standard field equipment – ammunition pouches, spade, bayonet, bread bag, canteen, mess tin, zelt, gas can, and gas cape. He wears his tunic open, as from what most photos show, the SS preferred that dress and at times it was part of dress regulation. Of course, they didn’t always follow this and you can easily find images of soldiers wearing their collars closed. Basically everything here was remade from scratch, except the bread bag. I modified the version I used for some upcoming WWI German soldiers for Ravenfield 1. And yes, some did wear their smocks like this. Those built-in cuts to get to your pouches and/or pockets really suck, I speak from experience.
