Description:

OPERATION: THE ELBE LIFELINE
Difficulty: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4 Stars)

Situation Update:
While the Soviet Northern Fleet remains cautious after their previous losses, waiting for the Kirov to finish replenishment, the land war in Europe has reached a critical turning point. The "Iron Curtain" has physically shifted westward: Moscow has successfully executed a massive amphibious landing near Copenhagen, and their mechanized divisions have punched through from the south, leading to the total occupation of Denmark.

The NATO front is under immense pressure. Allied forces are desperately attempting to consolidate a defensive line along the Elbe, but Soviet spearheads have already bypassed these positions to the south, rapidly closing in on the Dutch border. This advance has created the "Elbe Pocket" – a massive concentration of NATO troops and hardware cut off from land-based logistics.

The Lifeline:
With regional airbases under constant bombardment and the front lines shifting hourly, traditional supply routes are failing. Convoy "Iron" is our final gamble. This fleet of heavy American transports and ammunition ships carries the vital equipment, armor, and personnel required to stabilize the Elbe pocket and launch a desperate counter-offensive.

Due to the collapse of the Danish defenses, the Baltic Fleet’s "Mosquito" forces have flooded the North Sea. TG 41.2 "Full House" is the only force in the theater capable of providing a mobile air-defense umbrella and anti-submarine screen for this final run to Bremerhaven.

Your Orders:
Admiral, you are the last barrier. You must escort Convoy "Iron" through hostile waters to reach the safety of the coastal defense zone.

Shield the Reinforcements: Convoy "Iron" must reach Bremerhaven. The heavy transports Algol and Altair are priority-one assets. Their loss will result in the immediate collapse of the German front.

Coordinate Local Assets: You have tactical control over the remnants of NATO aviation at the Amsterdam Airbase. While the base itself is intact, it lost a lot of planes during the previous weeks of fighting. These few F-15s and P-3s are your only support outside of the Nimitz air wing.

Navigate the S-300 Umbrella: Intelligence confirms that Soviet forces have already deployed S-300 SAM batteries along the occupied Danish coast. Do not send your aircraft into the "Red Zones" unless absolutely necessary.

Intelligence Report:
Aerial Threat: High. With Denmark occupied, Soviet Su-24M Fencers are operating from forward airfields. Additionally, long-range Tu-22M Backfires are circling from the North. Warning: Norwegian radar indicates a large strike group is already inbound.

Naval Threat: The Soviet Navy remains hesitant to send capital ships deep into the North Sea while Norway still stands, but Nanuchka-class missile corvettes have slipped through the straits and are operating in the shallows.

Subsurface: High Danger. The North Sea shallows are "Kilo" territory. These silent diesel-electric submarines will be lying in wait on the sea floor along the convoy’s path.

Victory Conditions:
Deliver Convoy "Iron" to the Bremerhaven coastal safety zone, where land-based SAMs can provide cover. As long as the Atlantic bridge holds, there is still hope for Europe. If the convoy falls, the "Elbe Pocket" becomes a mass grave. Hold the line, Admiral.
