FIELD CAMP

Deploy a tent, set up camp, and rest with your squad.

Field Camp adds a lightweight camping and rest system for Arma 3, built for singleplayer, co-op missions, Zeus operations, milsim scenarios, and long-running campaigns.

Carry a Field Camp Tent Kit, deploy a folded tent bag, assemble it into a usable camp, and rest until dawn, morning, noon, dusk, midnight, or a short hour-based rest period through a clean Skyrim-inspired rest interface.

QUICK OVERVIEW
  • Deployable tent kit: Adds a Field Camp Tent Kit that can be carried from Arsenal and deployed in the world.
  • Folded tent setup: Supported vanilla tent variants place a folded tent first, then assemble into the full tent after deployment.
  • Tent variants: Includes olive, sand, red/white, and blue/white vanilla solar tent options.
  • Custom tent support: Server owners can set a custom deployed tent object classname through CBA settings.
  • Camp zones: Deployed tents create a usable camp area for sleeping and rest actions.
  • Sleep and rest: Rest until dawn, morning, noon, dusk, midnight, or optional hour-based rest targets.
  • Multiplayer voting: In multiplayer, eligible players can accept or decline a rest request before time changes.
  • Zeus support: Zeus can be excluded from normal player requirements and optionally approve or deny rest requests.
  • Sleep transition: Time changes happen behind a fade-to-black transition so the skip feels like actually resting.
  • ACE compatible: Uses ACE interaction when ACE is loaded and vanilla actions when it is not.

CBA SETTINGS
  • General: Enable or disable Field Camp and optional debug logging.
  • Deployment: Configure tent kit requirement, deployment time, pack time, camp radius, and custom deployed tent classname.
  • Tent selection: Choose between included vanilla tent variants or a configured custom tent prop.
  • Sleep rules: Configure time skipping, preset targets, hour-based rest options, vote timeout, and required acceptance percentage.
  • Camp requirement: Optionally require players to be near any registered Field Camp tent before accepting a rest vote.
  • Zeus approval: Choose whether Zeus approval is never required, required only when Zeus is present, or always required.
  • Recovery: Configure fatigue recovery, vanilla health recovery, and ACE medical recovery behavior.
  • UI: Configure minimal notifications and sleep transition fade behavior.

COMPATIBILITY

Field Camp is a focused camping and time-rest system. It does not replace AI behavior, medical systems, survival frameworks, logistics systems, or mission frameworks.

  • CBA_A3: Required.
  • ACE3: Optional. ACE interaction is used when available.
  • Vanilla interaction: Fully usable without ACE through vanilla actions.
  • Singleplayer: Rest works directly without multiplayer voting.
  • Multiplayer: Designed for hosted and dedicated multiplayer with server-controlled tent spawning, voting, and time skipping.
  • Zeus missions: Zeus can optionally approve or deny rest requests.

KNOWN LIMITS
  • Time-sensitive missions: Missions with strict scripted schedules may need server owners to disable or restrict time skipping.
  • Custom tent props: Custom tent classnames spawn the final configured object only. Folded tent previews are used for the included supported vanilla tent variants.
  • ACE medical recovery: Full ACE healing is optional and should only be enabled if it fits the server’s gameplay style.

FEEDBACK
  • Useful reports: Include SP/MP status, dedicated or hosted server, ACE loaded or not, CBA settings changed, loaded mods, RPT errors, and what action failed.
  • Voting issues: Include player count, Zeus status, sleep requirement percentage, vote timeout, and whether camp acceptance is enabled.
  • Tent issues: Include the selected tent variant, custom classname if used, terrain position, and whether the problem happened during deploy, pack, or rest.
  • Compatibility reports: Include mission framework, map, loaded faction mods, and whether Zeus approval was enabled.
