More Cultural Council Tasks
Have you ever wanted more control over the cultural and religious landscape of your realm? More Cultural Council Tasks expands your council’s abilities, giving you both forceful and diplomatic ways to manage your domain’s demographics!
This mod is an expanded continuation of the currently abandoned Marshal, Exterminate Them mod. It brings back the original mechanics while introducing my own council task.
The forceful, iron-fisted approach.
Brought over from the original mod, this task allows you to send your Marshal to aggressively convert a county’s culture and religion to your own.
- Effect: Successfully converts both the Faith and Culture of the target county to your ruler’s.
- Consequence: Such extreme and forceful methods come with a heavy price. The county will receive a modifier causing a temporary but significant loss of Development Growth.
The Imperial, pragmatic approach.
A brand-new feature created specifically for this mod! Instead of painting the map solely with your own culture, you can now send your Steward to actively spread the culture of your vassals within their respective territories.
- Effect: Converts the target county’s culture to the culture of the vassal who holds it.
- Why use this? It is perfect for roleplaying, stabilizing newly conquered foreign territories by placing a loyal vassal of a specific culture, and managing large, decentralized empires without needing to micromanage your ruler’s personal culture everywhere.
The diplomatic, appeasing approach.
Send your Chancellor to negotiate with local leaders, guaranteeing their traditional ways in exchange for loyalty and prosperity.
- Effect: Adds a positive modifier to the target county, granting various beneficial buffs (representing the locals’ gratitude for their guaranteed rights).
- The Catch: Autonomy comes with strict terms. In exchange for these buffs, the county’s culture and faith are protected by law. You will be completely forbidden from converting the culture or faith of this region for the next 30 years.
- Why use this? An excellent tool for pacifying unruly factions, rapidly stabilizing newly conquered foreign lands, or boosting a wealthy province when you don’t mind keeping its original culture and religion intact.
The manipulative, chaotic approach.
Unleash your Spymaster to spread rumors, fund agitators, and incite unrest among the populace.
- Effect: Actively raises discontent and unrest in the targeted county. Unlike most tasks, this can be performed both within your own realm and in the domains of neighboring rulers.
- Why use this? Use it externally to destabilize a powerful rival and fracture their realm from within before declaring war. Alternatively, use it internally to intentionally provoke a rebellious faction into rising up prematurely, allowing you to crush them and rightfully revoke their titles while you hold the military advantage!
