NEOW: Crusaders of the New Age
Greetings to the lords of glorious Europe – or rather, what’s left of it.
This mod is a submod for New Era Old World and aims to add new content to existing cultures, religions, and titles.
Play as a character from the Euscal culture, use ancient scriptures to lay claim on lands on both sides of the Pyrenees, and then, if that’s still not enough for your spirit, conquer the Franks and the Iberians to secure your people’s future forever!
However, it’s not just the Basques who are striving for independence. Play as a character from boarisch or sudboarisch culture, unite them all under a single realm, and become an independent emperor!
However, perhaps you do not wish to further divide the German nation? If you are committed to the reunification of Germany, conquer all the ancestral German lands and proclaim the creation of Greater Germany, and let the German Eagle soar once more.
Whatever your goal may be, you may find unexpected assistance from the Illuminated Lodges. Yes, the Pope considers them heretics, but they have plenty of gold and are willing to lend you money for the needs of the realm. Just don’t forget to pay your debts, or you risk making enemies.
Or perhaps you’ll embrace their faith yourself? After all, they’re willing to support you with gold, and who cares what Satan, masquerading as the Pope, thinks? Will you be able to illuminate Christendom and save a dying religion?
