Tactical Sling RebornThis mod is inspired by the original Simple Sling mod.
I always loved the idea of being able to carry multiple guns on my back. The original mod had such a cool concept, and all credit goes to the original creator for making that idea possible in the first place.
The reason I made this version is because I wanted to bring that idea forward and make it work with Build 42.18. I also wanted to push the idea even further.
The original setup allowed a few sling options, but I wanted something more ridiculous, more customizable, and honestly way more fun.
So now?
You can have up to 20 back rifle slings.
Yes. Twenty.
Is it realistic? Maybe not.
Is it funny watching your survivor walk around like a fully armed tactical Christmas tree? Absolutely. (ง •̀_•́)ง
What This Mod Does
- Adds multiple wearable rifle slings
- Allows you to carry many weapons on your back
- Adds up to 20 Back Rifle Slings
- Each back sling has its own separate wearable slot
- Lets you build a heavily armed tactical loadout
- Includes an optional weightless add-on for players who do not care about encumbrance
- Compatible with Build 42.18
- Works with vanilla weapons and many modded weapons naturally
Important Sling NoteEach back sling uses its own separate slot.
That means you cannot wear the same sling number twice.
For example, you cannot wear:
- Back Rifle Sling 1
- Back Rifle Sling 1 again
Instead, you need to wear them in separate numbers, like:
- Back Rifle Sling 1
- Back Rifle Sling 2
- Back Rifle Sling 3
- Back Rifle Sling 4
- And so on
So if you want to carry 10 weapons, you need to craft and wear different sling numbers.
Basically:
Different number = different back slot.
For Realism PlayersIf you like realism, you can simply use the main mod by itself.
You will still need to manage your character’s encumbrance, weapon weight, and carrying limits.
This is the more balanced way to play.
You get the extra sling slots, but your character still has to deal with the weight of carrying half a gun store on their back.
For Chaos PlayersIf you do not care about realism and just want to carry as much stuff as possible, there is an optional add-on included:
Tactical Sling Reborn – Weightless Everything
This makes items in the world nearly weightless.
Not completely weightless, but close enough that your survivor can carry a ridiculous amount of gear without instantly being crushed by the laws of physics.
Most item weights are reduced to around:
0.001
Is it balanced?
No.
Is it fun?

Compatible Gun Mods (づ｡◕‿‿◕｡)づThe sling system works naturally with many modded weapons, and these gun mods have been tested and verified to work with Tactical Sling Reborn.

A new patch fix has been added for Gael’s Gun Store, so the previous issues with cars, hotbar actions, placing items, and item transfers should no longer happen when using the correct setup.
To get the full intended effect, please enable:
- Tactical Sling Reborn
- Tactical Sling Reborn – Weightless Everything
- Your chosen compatible gun mod
For Gael’s Gun Store users, please also enable the new Gael’s Gun Store patch fix if it appears as a separate option.

How To InstallJust subscribe.
Then enable the parts you want in your mod list.
Recommended setup:
- Tactical Sling Reborn
- Tactical Sling Reborn – Weightless Everything (optional, but recommended for the full weightless effect)
- Your chosen compatible gun mod (optional)
If you want the balanced version, only enable the main mod.
If you want the absolutely unhinged walking armory version, enable the weightless add-on too.

Version Note:
This mod is focused on the latest version of Project Zomboid, starting with Build 42.18 and newer versions going forward.
Older versions are not my focus right now.
You may try using it on older versions, but please use caution because I cannot promise everything will work correctly there.
If you run into any issues on the latest version, please let me know and I will look into it as soon as I can.

This mod was made because I loved that concept and wanted to make it work for Build 42.18, while also expanding it into something more chaotic and customizable.
