Vanilla++ Universal Vehicle Crew Reskin
A standalone mutator that universally and automatically applies the crewman skins from the Vanilla++ Unofficial Skin Expansion to bots as soon as they enter a vehicle. This mutator contains only the crewman skins for Eagle and Raven at the moment, but can be applied to any config by enabling the Eagle/Raven Crewman Skin mutators provided.
Regional variants are automatically applied for tankers based on the vehicle’s name, if it contains the words "desert", "snow", or "woodland".
Automatic Crewman Loadout is strongly recommended.
The configuration for this mod is similar to that of the Automatic Crewman Loadout mutator.
This mutator should correctly detect all appropriate V+ vehicles (and most other vehicles) right out of the box without the need for further configuration.
Skins will be automatically assigned when a bot enters a tank, APC, IFV, MGS, SPAA, or aircraft.
If you have the need for further configuration, then you can enter a vehicle’s name into the Vehicle Names field, and the mutator will apply the crewman skin to any bot that enters a vehicle with that name.
The Variant Types field is used to keep track of substrings that indicate a vehicle’s variant type, such as its regional variant. This substring will be ignored in the vehicle’s name, streamlining the manual matching process. For instance, if the substrings "Desert", "Woodland", and "Snow" are in this field, and the name "Warrior MBT" is entered into the Vehicle Names field, then a vehicle by the name of "Warrior MBT Desert", "Warrior MBT Woodland", or "Warrior MBT Snow" will be matched, because the regional variant of the vehicle is ignored, while matching the remainder of the vehicle’s name.
Again, changes to these fields are largely unnecessary because the mutator should work with the default configurations for most vehicles. But it exists to help you deal with exceptions.
The Reset On Death option decides if the actor skin will reset to what is selected by default upon death. It is turned on by default, to prevent bots from respawning with the crewman skin, but it can be turned off if you have a multiskin enabled. The multiskin mutator will override the actor’s skin on spawn.
The Vehicle Name finder will print for you the name of the vehicle you just entered. Use it when you want to unambiguously determine a vehicle’s name. To use it, enable the setting, enable the vehicles you want the names of, load a map that will spawn those vehicles, then enter those vehicles, and press the Page Up key to see the console log. It is recommended to disable all other mutators while doing this.
Other settings are hopefully self-explanatory.
