Description:

This mod aims to bring some elements from Total War: Attila into Barbarian Invasion while preserving the classic vanilla atmosphere. It’s not a total conversion, but a vanilla-friendly expansion that adds depth, challenge, and historical flavor without losing the core identity of Barbarian Invasion.

Main features include:

  • 38+ new factions — No more “slave” settlements; every region now belongs to a real faction. New additions include the Suebians (playable), the Hephthalites (White Huns), the Kidarites (Red Huns), the Magyars, the Gupta Empire, the Lakhmids, the Iazyges, and many others.
  • Civil wars for everyone — Any faction, large or small, can now split in two. Characters with low loyalty may defect and side with the rebels.
  • Expanded Campaign Map — The vanilla map has been extended to reach the borders of India.

  • 13+ New Religions — Adding more cultural depth and management challenges.
  • New "Indian" Culture — Created specifically for the Gupta Empire.
  • Emergent Factions — including the Kingdom of Italy (Odoacer’s Kingdom), the Domain of Soissons, and the Mauro-Roman Kingdom.
  • Historical tweaks — Most ahistorical units, such as the Hounds of Culann and Grail Knights, have been removed to favor historical realism.
  • Agent cap — No more endless agent spam; this system is inspired by the mechanics of Rome II/Attila.
