Virtual Range 2026 [LWOTC/CI – Compatible]

This is a fixed fork of the original Virtual Range mod by Oni.

All credit for the original mod, idea, and design goes to Oni. I really liked the mod and wanted to keep using it, so I made this version to fix a few bugs and improve compatibility with other mods.

DO NOT run this mod at the same time as the original Virtual Range mod.

Use this version instead of the original.

Virtual Range lets soldiers VR train in the Avenger through the Training Center. This fork keeps the same basic idea, but fixes several problems that could break training progress, rewards, soldier status, and compatibility with other mods.

• Fixed soldiers getting 0 ability points after the first training cycle.
• Fixed the Performance Report resetting soldier training progress when opened mid-cycle.
• Fixed partial training rewards sometimes rounding down too hard or becoming 0.
• Fixed injured or shaken soldiers staying stuck in Virtual Range slots in some cases.
• Fixed the staffing list showing soldiers who were already busy, training, staffed, or otherwise unavailable.
• Fixed compatibility with Soldier Conditioning and other mods that add staff slots to the Training Center.
• Fixed Virtual Range soldiers showing a blank status in some external soldier list screens.
• Added a proper status label for soldiers training in the Virtual Range.

The original slot replacement code could remove staff slots added by other mods. This version no longer wipes the Training Center staff slot list.

It now only removes and rebuilds Virtual Range’s own slots, while protecting slots from other mods such as Soldier Conditioning.

• Soldiers already occupying another facility slot can no longer be assigned to the Virtual Range.
• Unstaffing logic should be safer and will not submit empty game states.
• Personnel sorting now checks itself before running, so it should be safer when other UI mods are installed.

• Facility slot upkeep is now configurable.
• Default upkeep is 0.
• The soldier status label is localizable.
• Default status label is: Virtual Range

This is not meant to replace Oni’s work or take credit for it. It is just a maintenance and compatibility fork for players who still enjoy using Virtual Range.

Do not use this together with the original Virtual Range mod.

Unsubscribe from or disable the original before using this version.
