Men-at-Arms Polearm: +2 MD (~Empire Halberdiers), gained Expert Charge Defence trait making them decent line holding infantry all through the campaign.
Battle Pilgrims: +2 MD, +8 anti-Infantry, +5hp per entity, 55% Silver Shield. Tighter formation like other melee infantry. They should perform decent as a main line infantry for the 150 upkeep.
Men-at-Arms Spear/Shield: +2 MD (~Empire Spearmen).
Leadership for Men-at-Arms remains low (default) for balance & culture flavors.
But with Knight support & especially the Grail Reliquae, mere peasants can indeed hold the line.
