[Og] Immersive Filter
This mod adds a filter system to vanilla RimWorld that changes with the seasons and weather. Highly customizable!
Examples:
1. Sunny days have higher saturation, contrast, and brightness, while rainy days have lower saturation to create a misty atmosphere;
2. Winter has a cooler color tone, while summer has a warmer color tone;
3. Snowy days have an extremely cold color tone to create a freezing atmosphere.
4. Also, you can custom each filter if they can work under roof.
This mod uses shaders with stencil to render the filter effects. Most of the calculations are handled by the GPU, making it extremely fast. In testing, there was no difference in frame rate compared to running without filters.
Tested with a 700+ mod list, and no incompatibilities were found.
Automatically adapts to weather added by other mods, while also allowing manual adjustment.
Theoretically compatible with all mods, including CE.
Includes shaders for Windows, Linux, and Mac. Theoretically compatible with all platforms.
Because of the limitation of Rimworld rendering pipeline, excluding certain remaining minor UI elements from the filter would be too costly. As long as the filter settings are not too extreme, the visual impact should be minimal.
If you discover a better set of filter parameters, you can release them as an expansion mod. Please refer to this mod’s files for the filter def format and translation format.
