Race War
This mod makes all races have -100 aversion to each other, making the game more dynamic and getting a bit closer to a total war than before. It also breaks up Bretonnia and The Empire even though they are both human, because they were too strong together.
Races are neutral to the splinter factions within themselves, meaning for example different Empire factions have 0 aversion to each other and can go either way as usual. It can make confederations harder if the different factions dont have common enemies, or if one of them attacks something friendly to the other.
All order factions retain the -250 modification to Chaos, while norsca and skaven also retain their original values in order to make a Chaos playthrough viable.
So far in all the testing I’ve done I’ve seen some pretty different results, and the -100 aversion is low enough to be overcome by prolongued wars with common enemies and whatnot, which adds an aspect of randomness to it. Ive seen crazy things like Skarsnik taking half of Bretonnia somehow and allying himself with the Empire due to both of them having been at war with Bretonnia at the same time. Also, random warherds and rogue armies spawning in different places makes diplomacy fluid because killing them brings very diverse factions together, so each simulation Ive seen with the AI playing by itself has had different results so far. I’ve seen Bretonnia conquer half the old world by turn 150 and the very next sim, get wiped by Marienburg in turn 15.
Included in this mod is also a modification to the AI’s decision making on wether it wants to attack settlements in unsuitable climates, making it more likely but not as likely as a normal settlement, in an attempt to make the old world and the new world interact more in the Mortal Empires campaign and maybe prod lizardmen to Ulthuan and Elves to the jungle more often. All penalties for unsuitable climates remain.
If you want to try this mod, be prepared to see plenty of war declarations per turn and overall chaos, but I found it was a nice way to shake things up.
Should be compatible with about any conversion mods.
