USA Rail Speed Classes
Since many of the rail mods seem to be focused outside of the USA, I wanted to make some rails for the USA that represent speed Classes 1-8. I went off of the default tracks file in the game to create this mod.
Below is the info for each type:
Class 1: 15 MPH / 24 KM/H (Cost = 1,650,000 for tunnel, 750,000 for viaduct, and 150,000 for ground)
Class 2: 30 MPH / 48 KM/H (Cost = 1,700,000 for tunnel, 800,000 for viaduct, and 200,000 for ground)
Class 3: 60 MPH / 97 KM/H (Cost = 1,750,000 for tunnel, 850,000 for viaduct, and 250,000 for ground)
Class 4: 80 MPH / 129 KM/H (Cost = 1,800,000 for tunnel, 900,000 for viaduct, and 300,000 for ground)
Class 5: 90 MPH / 145 KM/H (Cost = 1,850,000 for tunnel, 950,000 for viaduct, and 350,000 for ground)
Class 6: 110 MPH / 177 KM/H (Cost = 1,900,000 for tunnel, 1,000,000 for viaduct, and 400,000 for ground)
Class 7: 125 MPH / 201 KM/H (Cost = 1,950,000 for tunnel, 1,050,000 for viaduct, and 450,000 for ground)
Class 8: 160 MPH / 258 KM/H (Cost = 2,000,000 for tunnel, 1,100,000 for viaduct, and 500,000 for ground)
I am open to suggestions to make it more realistic for a USA setting. This was created using the 1.2.29.8833 beta.
