Controller Stick Optimizer
Controller Stick Optimizer is an input-feel optimization mod for controller players. It mainly improves unstable right-stick behavior in several controller-related mechanics.
Main Features
1. Brimstone Feel Optimization
When controlling Brimstone with the controller right stick, stick return-to-center, spring-back, or small drift can sometimes interrupt the direction or make the beam feel unstable.
This mod adds more stable direction holding and spring-back filtering for Brimstone, making right-stick Brimstone control feel closer to the stability of button input.
2. Tainted Azazel Feel Optimization (Testing)
Tainted Azazel’s Hemoptysis and follow-up Brimstone can feel unfriendly on controller sticks.
This mod keeps the original game’s Hemoptysis startup direction handling, avoiding incorrect takeover of the cough direction. It also optimizes the follow-up Brimstone behavior after Hemoptysis connects, so continuous right-stick attacking may more reliably produce the follow-up Brimstone beam.
3. Disable Accidental Mars Triggers From Left Stick
Mars is triggered by quickly double-tapping a movement direction. Because the left stick has travel distance, normal movement or quick stick pushes can accidentally trigger Mars.
This mod disables common left-stick Mars trigger paths by default, reducing accidental dashes for controller players. D-pad or keyboard-style movement input can still be used to trigger Mars intentionally.
When using the left stick, movement speed may be reduced by about 5%, which should have little impact on normal gameplay. Internally, the mod caps detected left-stick analog movement at 0.95 instead of 1.0 and applies related input filtering to help block accidental Mars activation.
If Mod Config Menu / Mod Config Menu Pure is installed, the menu can be used to toggle the main options, including:
