Isolated Isle [B42]
Isolated Isle is a standalone wilderness focused island map set on Anticosti Island in Quebec, Canada. This sparsely populated and remote island, famous for it’s abundance of deer and shipwrecks was known as the Cemetary of the Gulf. But as the world fell to the Knox Event infection, could this once Isolated Isle become new haven?
The enviroment is region accurate with the appropriate fauna and creatures, and this includes mosquitoes in certain biomes. Cover up to protect yourself, make a campfire to keep them away. They are most active and dusk and dawn. It’s a very subtle effect. Most players will barely notice them. There is a sound cue when you are in an area with mosquitoes present.
With the added biomes in B42, foraging should have much more depth. This map is designed to have foraging be the main method of finding and gathering resources to survive. You will have to travel across the whole island to forage for everything you need. The different biomes are spread across the island in a way should encourage exploration into the bush. Mushrooms, berries, and fishes are region accurate and not vanilla. They will work with all recipes still.
This is also a very low population map, you will not find many zombies wandering the island, but with default settings, there will still be some wandering around. If you want to find guns on this map, your best bet is to go deep into the bush to find hunter zombies that are out there. Some may even have a rifle on them.
This map will be part of a larger collection of maps that will include other islands located in the Gulf of St. Lawrence like Prince Edward Island and the Magdelene Islands.
