Hello everyone,
this preset was originally created for personal use, but after a few users had the chance to look at it, I was asked to make it publicly available.
This is a simple preset that does not aim for photorealism, but rather focuses on improving atmosphere and visual immersion. The goal was to achieve a consistent and balanced look that works across all vanilla in-game weather conditions.
Overall, it slightly desaturates the image and enhances light refraction effects. It performs especially well on European summer maps, but also delivers good results in snowy environments, although it may slightly reduce visibility in those conditions.
The preset has been tested to ensure stable performance, with no noticeable impact on gameplay and only a minimal performance cost (maximum 1–2 FPS loss).
Two versions are included:
– Standard (OverlordReshade.ini)
– Cinematic letterbox effect (OverlordReshadeLB.ini)
The only difference between them is the visual letterbox effect, so you can choose whichever suits your preference.
Feedback is welcome.

4) Visit the official ReShade website, download the latest version, and run the installer.
Select the game executable and allow ReShade to detect the rendering API.
5) During installation, choose the option at the bottom to install using a preset file, then select OverlordReshadeLB.ini from the game folder where you previously pasted it.
Make sure to select the LB version, as it includes all required plugins for both presets.
ReShade will automatically download and install the necessary effects. To verify the installation, ensure that AmbientLight.fx, cLetterBox.fx, cLipse.fx, and PD80_01_Color_Gamut.fx are selected.
Selecting all available filters will also include the required ones, although this may increase ReShade startup time.
6) Launch the game once. The preset should load automatically.
If it does not, open the ReShade in-game overlay and manually select OverlordReshadeLB.ini or OverlordReshade.ini from the game folder.
7) End!
