Advanced AI Squad Command – PSC
Group Control (Advanced AI Command 2 -Redux): https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3731028190
Advanced AI Squad Command: Player Squad Tactical Commands expands the player’s ability to command AI squadmates with practical, tactical orders designed for infantry gameplay, urban combat, patrols, and long-session scenarios.
This mod is built to feel like a natural extension of Arma 3’s squad command system while keeping the controls simple, reliable, and lightweight.
PSC focuses on giving the player fast, useful control over selected squad units without turning the game into a complicated command interface.
Features:
Group Radio Communication:
Selected units respond through group radio chatter when commands are issued.
Movement Commands:
Force Move:
Send selected units directly to a specific position using the map or cursor target.
Firing Line:
Order selected units to form a firing line at a selected position.
When using the map, the first click sets the line position and the second click sets the facing direction.
Flank Left / Flank Right:
Order selected units to swing wide or close around a target area, come in from the side, and stop short instead of stacking directly on the marked point.
Assault:
Selected units push toward and slightly beyond the objective to secure the area.
Clear Area:
Selected units move into and clear a selected target area.
Guard:
Units spread out and hold a defensive posture around the selected area.
Observe Area:
Send units to observe a selected area from a chosen position.
Observed contacts are marked temporarily on the map and reported through group radio. If a contact remains present after the marker times out, the unit can report and mark it again.
When using the map, the first click sets the line position and the second click sets the facing direction.
Take Cover:
Selected units search for nearby hard cover. If no hard cover is available, units look for terrain/crest cover.
Wall Line
Units line up behind a wall or similar low cover. Uses the player’s facing direction as the direction of fire
Vaulting:
Climb walls/fences
Target Commands:
Suppress:
Selected units suppress an area around the selected cursor or map target with FULL AUTO fire. True Suppression
Precision Shot:
Command a selected unit to take a deliberate rifle shot at a specific cursor or map target.
AT Shot:
Command selected AT-capable units to engage vehicle targets.
Grenade / GL:
Command selected units to throw a hand grenade or fire a grenade launcher at a cursor or map target when equipped.
Smoke:
Command selected units to deploy smoke at a cursor or map target.
Assemble Weapon:
Supports static weapon assembly using compatible backpack weapon systems.
Designed with vanilla, RHS, and CUP compatibility in mind where compatible backpack weapon setups are available.
Disassemble/Pack up
Crew will pack up static weapon and re-equip packs.
Plant Explosives:
Selected unit must have the correct explosive type. Explosives are tracked by the unit that placed them. Touch Off Explosives detonates explosives planted by the selected unit or units.
Speed Commands:
Walk
Tactical
Normal
Sprint
Building Commands:
Garrison:
Order selected units to occupy nearby building positions.
Clear House:
Units move through building positions before settling into garrison behavior.
Utility Commands:
Unstuck
Attempts to free selected units if they become stuck.
Teleport
Moves selected units to the selected position.
Auto Combat Control:
Enable or Disable auto combat for more control.
Fire on my lead:
Squad holds fire until leader fires
Compatibility:
Built for Arma 3 and designed to work alongside common AI and faction mods. (LAMBS | highly recommended to disable group suppression)
Static weapon assembly has been built with support for common vanilla, RHS, and CUP backpack weapon setups where compatible backpacks are available.
Vehicle AT behavior has been tested and refined around vanilla/CUP-style launcher behavior, including units that receive launchers through Zeus or Virtual Arsenal loadout changes.
Notes
This mod is intended for player-commanded squad gameplay. It does not attempt to replace large AI behavior overhaul mods. Instead, it gives the player more direct and useful command tools during missions.
Some animation mods may interfere with AI weapon-raising or forced-fire behavior. If suppression or precision fire does not behave correctly, test once without animation override mods before reporting an issue.
Important Notes:
Assign a command menu key in:
Options → Controls → Configure Addon Controls → PSC
Avoid using the vanilla Stop command before issuing PSC commands. Due to Arma engine limitations, vanilla Stop can halt units in a way that interferes with scripted PSC commands.
