Laplace – RE2 AC17
The Laplace
"Laplace’s demon is a hypothetical being conceived by mathematician Pierre-Simon Laplace in his 1814 work, "A Philosophical Essay on Probabilities". It is an imaginary intellect possessing perfect knowledge of the precise position and momentum of every particle in the universe at a given moment. Armed with this information and the laws of classical mechanics, the demon could then calculate the entire past and future of the universe, rendering nothing uncertain."
The Laplace is conceived as a end game combat SV. Design to single-handedly take down the defences of a sector command and similar POI. It is an Advance Core 17 ship. It comes with dual cockpit. One for those who wants to sit in on all the action and watch the bullet flies. Watch everything from the front. The second is an enclosed cockpit in the back to fly it from 3rd person. The rear cockpit also act as emergency cockpit, should the front one gets blown up or you need to get away quickly while closer to the back. It has full complement of amenities, minus a fridge. BYO ration packs.
With standard armaments of 4 Hyperlasers and 8x Modulated pulse laser cannons, it will take down shields quickly and then remove those turrets too without much difficulties. Comes with 2x 32k Ammunition Controllers which is really designed for multipurpose use. Put whatever you like in there.
Most of the parts are not directly accessible unfortunately. They’re housed in an enclosed combat steel casing in the core of the ship. Spawn it in creative first if you wish to do any editing.
Please make sure you do not lose your shield. This ship has fast recharge shield configuration with a generous shield capacity. SV will not take many hits against a CV/Base weapons regardless of armor. If you lose your shield, parts will go flying. The wings are armored against hits through shields penetration. But won’t mean much if you lose shield and the shots are hitting the hull directly.
DO NOT FIGHT LEGACY WITH THIS SHIP. NOT RATED FOR LEGACY COMBAT.
As featured in Jeff Randall "A Look at the workshop part 228". 🙂 Thanks Jeff!
