Script | Station Blackhole
Requires NIMBY Rails 1.18+
Automatically removes trains when they go off-shift at specific stations. Useful for running trains on only part of your network.
Use Case
Sometimes you may be building only part of a line; and so instead of depoting your trains, you want to blackhole them so they despawn when in the future they would continue running to additional stations on your line. Today you can manage this with a seperate line or or lineservice.
This script allows for despawning/blackholing trains at selected stations just by having a train end its shift on _any_ platform at a selected station.
Setup
- Enable the BlackholeZone extension on stations where trains should disappear.
- Enable the BlackholeTrain extension on trains that should be removed.
- Have your train end its shift at the station
- It will despawn
Both extensions must be enabled for blackholing to happen.
