Description:

In which SE Asia becomes the world center of trade, technology, and colonization.

This mod aims to shift the focus of EU4 entirely away from Europe towards Indonesia, Southeast Asia, India, China and Japan.

Firstly, the world’s trade routes have been redirected to flow away from Europe, terminating in Bangkok. Coromandel, Bengal, and Malacca tend to have the highest trade value though, due to the large number of nodes flowing into them. I also increased development in the region and gave away some uncolonized provinces.

Secondly, Institutions have been set up to mostly spawn in SE Asia, and spread slowly to regions of different religion or culture. The Renaissance starts out exclusively in the East-Indies Superregion, giving them an early advantage.

Thirdly, trade companies have been removed from Asia and Asian nation AI have a much higher chance of picking exploration and expansion. Naturally, trade companies have been included in Western Europe and North Africa, so expect to find Indonesians in every corner of the map by 1800.

To add some more flavor to the new Buff East Indies, I included some of the missions, events, and decisions from the following mods:

Suvarnabhumi Land Of Gold
Nboaram’s Indonesia Missions

I still have the script to reroute trade routes so I could make other mods for different parts of the world if wanted.

Also Europe gets smallpox now.
