ATAK Enhancements by Iceman
Iceman’s ATAK Enhancements adds a set of tactical tools directly into the cTab/ATAK interface for planning, reporting, coordination, and terrain analysis.
The suite includes route planning, elevation tools, BDA reporting, tactical alerts, and group coordination. Each app is built to work from the ATAK screen so players can plan and share information without leaving the device interface.
The Route app lets players enter or map-select start and end grid coordinates, then generate either a foot route or vehicle route.
Foot routes use an A*-style pathing approach that favors concealment and avoids roads, towns, ridgelines, valleys, and exposed terrain where possible. Vehicle routes prioritize road travel and mark the route visually on the ATAK map. The app also calculates distance remaining and ETA using the player or vehicle’s current speed, with configurable fallback speeds through CBA settings.
The Elevation app provides terrain-analysis overlays.
View Shed lets players select a point and generate a visibility radius based on observer height above ground level. Green areas represent terrain visible from that point, while red areas represent deadspace blocked by terrain.
Heatmap creates a topographical height overlay over a selected area, helping players quickly identify high and low terrain.
The BDA app creates structured battle damage assessment reports. Players can fill mission information, target details, attack information, assessment results, rating, and reattack recommendation.
Reports are stored locally, can be reopened from a report dropdown, and are sent through the cTab message system so recipients receive them like normal ATAK messages.
The Alert app supports TIC, Eagle Down, and Panic workflows.
TIC and Eagle Down reports work like BDA reports: players fill in structured information, submit it, and the report is saved for later viewing. Panic remains an immediate alert system, sending a quick emergency notification to nearby ATAK users. Auto-panic can also trigger if a player is unconscious longer than the configured delay.
The Groups app lets players set their role, view groups and members, join selected groups, locate selected players or groups on the ATAK map, and send group messages.
Roles are used by the alert system to determine who should receive certain types of reports or notifications. Group messages use the normal cTab message system, so they appear alongside regular ATAK messages.
The suite includes CBA settings and keybinds for customization. Players can tune route colors, line width, ETA speeds, panic range, auto-panic timing, report prefixes, elevation defaults, group behavior, and more.
Keybinds can be assigned for opening apps, sending panic alerts, planning or clearing routes, clearing overlays, submitting reports, and using group actions.
Some UI needs to be reworked.
Group Texts doesn’t function.
Foot Route may receive a new alg.
Some report messaging is bugged/wont send. (Top Priority)
