Boom Lift [No Mods]
Trying to move up in the world? Here’s a Boom Lift.
Screenshots shown feature Durf’s night mod. This is NOT required for this lift to exist and function in your game.
Pistons will continuously cycle between min-max length. You must flip the switch again to stop at your desired height.
WASD – Driving
1 – Mechanical height adjust
2 – Extending height adjust
3 – Forward adjust
4 – Ground stabilizers (prevent drive movement)
5 – Rotate turret left
6 – Rotate turret right
7 – Spot Light (Not really useful in the daytime)
8 – Rotate spotlight
9 – Radio
If the FPS seems low when it comes off the lift, don’t worry, it’ll get better after you raise the boom a bit. Not sure why, but this game likes to lag for stupid reasons.
Update:
Thanks to @Surprise, Buttsecks for suggesting an improvement to this build. It would seem the lighting in this game has changed since I last played, and now causes even more lag. Great.
I would update this, but seeing that this game has been in development for basically 5 years and going without even an alpha test version of survival mode makes me unmotivated to spend any more time than I currently have. I can guarantee this will change if survival ever does come out.
