Strategic Combat Naval Plus
Load order in the Total War launcher:
- Mods that you want to overwrite this mod, such as 4TPY, extra UI, balancing, music, or cheat mods
- Graphics mods, such as Graphics mod 1 or Graphics mod 2
- Performance mods, such as Performance mod 1 or Performance mod 2
- This mod
- MK1212 content/new-unit mods whose balancing you want overwritten by Strategic Combat Naval Plus (if the game does not load with a content mod enabled here, that content mod is not compatible until patched)
- MK1212 modules / dependencies
- Engine-level bug-fix mods, such as Bug fix mod 1 or Bug fix mod 2
A large MK1212 merge and technical combat rebalance built around armour, fatigue, formations, missiles, cavalry impact, animations, naval changes, AI pressure, and campaign durability.
This is the expanded version of my MK1212 merge project. It includes the full MK1212 Realism Merge & UI base, then adds AI, garrison, animation, veteran, terrain, naval, and battle-balance changes to create a harsher and more readable medieval combat model.
The aim is not to make battles faster for the sake of speed. The aim is to make Attila’s hidden battle systems produce clearer battlefield stories: a fresh shield wall should feel different from a tired one, armour should change how long troops survive, missile angle should matter, cavalry should punish disorder, and elite units should be frightening without becoming effortless click-and-forget tools.
This mod includes all content from MK1212 Realism Merge & UI, including Earl’s 1212 realism series and the selected UI / presentation mods.

Animation balance is built around Bloody Battles UltraGORE Final Update 2026, with the generated combat animation file rebuilt to reduce the sliding that can happen when models snap into matched-combat start and end positions. Infantry contact should feel more grounded and less floaty. Some cavalry or unusual model combinations may still occasionally choose awkward animations, especially where the underlying game has limited clean matches.
Strategic Combat Naval Plus is designed around a simple idea:
combat should be decided by the interaction of systems, not by one flat stat line.
Many newer Total War battles can feel as if health, armour, fatigue, melee attack, melee defence, shields, missiles, charge bonuses, and animations are all present but not always speaking the same language. This submod pushes those systems to interact more visibly.
A strong formation is harder to break from the front. A tired formation starts to leak casualties. A flank attack is more dangerous than a frontal grind. Armour can make poor weapons feel ineffective until fatigue, angle, armour-piercing damage, or quality opens the target up. Cavalry charges can be devastating, but bad timing, poor terrain, low model count, and fatigue can make those losses expensive.
