Pripyat 2

Pripyat 2 is a large-scale map recreating a part of the real ghost city of Pripyat, abandoned after the Chernobyl disaster on April 26, 1986. You will be able to explore atmospheric streets, iconic locations (Energetik Palace of Culture, Polissya Hotel, amusement park, Lazurny Swimming Pool, Pripyat Cafe, kindergarten, panel buildings), as well as the vast underground system SPSN (Special Purpose Premises System) — a network of tunnels, collectors, bunkers, and railway lines. The city, once home to 47,500 people, is forever frozen in time. The map is a continuation of "Pripyat 1" and took 1 year and 3 months to develop. The project was inspired by the game Chernobylite.
History of SPSN
The system began to take shape with the founding of the city in 1970 and was connected to the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant. In 1973, two bunkers were built — PBSN-1 (the main one, with full infrastructure) and PBSN-2 (a smaller one). Since 1981, the KGB used them for illegal experiments with radiation and hazardous materials, as well as a detention facility for prisoners. After the accident, operations partially continued, but with the collapse of the USSR in 1991, funding ceased, and by January 1992, the tunnels were sealed, leaving classified documents and materials inside. Rumors now circulate about strange sounds and blinking indicators deep within — as if the system is still waiting for a command.

History of Pripyat
Founded in 1970 as a model city for Chernobyl NPP employees. After the explosion on April 26, 1986, it found itself just 3 km from the reactor and was fully evacuated on April 27. From a symbol of progress, it turned into an eternal monument to a man-made disaster.
Map modes:
Full (for powerful PCs), Lite, Lite+, Lite++, SPSN (underground only), ChL (Chernobylite).
The menu allows you to flexibly configure locations, seasons (summer/winter), and modes. The menu and preview were created by javaorca1.
Tips:
— Airtight doors are opened via the central drive mechanism.
— For realism in the tunnels, it is recommended to enable night weather.
— Play with headphones for full immersion.
— Radio — stations are switched only using the -/= keys.
— If the map loads for more than 10–20 minutes, the process has most likely frozen. Restart the game.
