Nefia Gambit
The Nefia stirs beneath your feet.
Old passages rearrange themselves. Shrines wake in the dark. Merchants light their lanterns where no road should be. Every few floors, the dungeon offers you a choice: take the card, pay the price, open the door, or walk away.
Nefia Gambit adds a roguelite card-run system to Elin, built around exploring Nefias, earning Gambit Turns, and spending them on a branching dungeon map.
Add the Nefia Gambit shortcut to your shortcut bar, then open the menu and start a new run.
Choose a starting class card, then enter and explore Nefias. As you reach deeper floors, you earn Gambit Turns. Spend those turns on the Nefia Gambit map to move through paths, draw cards, find events, visit shops, and push toward the next stratum.
Cards you gain become part of your run deck and grant bonuses for the current run. Some rewards are instant, some stay active, and some choices may add curses or ask you to burn cards from your deck.
If you die, the current run ends.
After completing a strata, you can earn Legacy Points. If you have already completed that strata on your character, you won’t get another Legacy Point. 1 per strata.
Legacy Points are used for future run bonuses and progression features. You can bind Legacy to the current character, or use Hardcore Echoes for a shared hardcore-style wallet (for Hardcore Characters).
Q: Can i use this mod alongside Talents?
A: Yes! The Big Four (Nine Realms, Talents, Fatebound Exchange, and Nefia Gambit) are permanently on my own modlist so I actively ensure they do not conflict!
Q: What about Talents: Legacy Edition?
A: You know that one stepchild that no one talks about? Yeah, Talents Legacy is them. We do not speak their name.
Q: How do I get Gambit Turns?
A: Explore Nefias and reach deeper floors. You gain a gambit turn every 2 depth you achieve.
Q: Are card bonuses permanent?
A: Only for the current run. Some rewards are instant, and the run deck resets when the run ends.
Q: There is a bug!
A: Try re-subscribing to the mod or verifying your Elin game files to see if a new update fixed it. If that does not fix it, report it!
