Description:
One year before Operation Barbarossa, the USSR invades the Chernarussian Republic to expand its dominion in the Green Sea. The last defenders in the South Zagoria region resist and prepare for a counterattack.

The year is 1940.

As Nazi Germany celebrates its victory in France, the Soviet Union, seeking to expand its regional dominance in the Green Sea and counter Germany’s overwhelming superiority in Europe, invades the Chernarussian Republic, a small nation-state that emerged after WW1 and could manage to stay independent during and after the Russian Civil War.

Following the rejection of a Soviet ultimatum demanding the unconditional surrender of the Chernarrussian Army to occupy the country and turn it into a Soviet republic, Soviet planes have bombed the capital Novigrad, followed by a Red Army invasion across the Black Mountains.

The Chernarrussian defenses have not been able to face the advance of the Red Army, but there are still regions in which the Chernarussian Army has managed to maintain an organized defense. The province of South Zagoria, to the north of the country, has seen how the Chernarussians, in their last hopes, have organized a counterattack to push back the Russians from their country.

Mission:

The town of Chernogorsk, the provincial capital, has been occupied by a company of Soviet naval infantry. Judging by the swiftness of the action, it appears that they are an advance party waiting to be reinforced by a Red Army column approaching from the north. The Chernarussian Army’s 187th Infantry Regiment is preparing to launch a counter-offensive and retake the town, which is strategically important as a regional port.

You will take the role of Private Herbert Mišalko, a rifleman of the 5th Company of the 187th Infantry Regiment, commanded by the renowned Captain Brabec, in the assault on the town of Chernogorsk, as a desperate measure to hold the defensive line against the Red Army, during the first moments of World War II.
