Terra et Mare expands Roman and Byzantine gameplay with new imperial administration, military traditions, religious mechanics, events, artwork, historical, and ahistorical flavor.

Reclaiming Roma unlocks Praetorian Prefectures, grants three shared Governor slots, and restores Roman hydraulic engineering. Praetorian Prefectures act as improved local governors for Rome, just as Lieutenancy does for Castille.

Roma and Constantinople can become secondary imperial courts through their unique palaces when they are not the capital.

Hellenic Rome gains Imperial Designation, allowing the Imperator to choose a worthy adult belonging to the Crown Estate as Caesar and successor. Orthodox Rome retains Byzantine succession.

Rome also gains the adoption mechanic, the ruler can adopt any character into the family (and crown estate) if they fulfill the requirements.
