Are those hardcore mods constantly destroying your pawns?
Combat Healing is a mod that adds a new weapon mechanic: healing projectiles. Those weapons are designed to support combat and heal wounds that pawns will take, your pawns will only shot to their allies so you dont have to worry for them shooting enemies
For this first version:
"Hyperhealing" canisters (that’s what I call the instant healing effect)
It’s a substance contained in canisters. You can craft them from medicine and neutroamine, and it’s used to charge the weapons added by this mod. You can craft an enhanced version with glitterworld medicine wich some weapons will require
Medic Dartgun
- A pistol that fires bursts of darts. These inject an accelerated healing substance that heals some of the affected wounds. It needs to be reloaded with basic canisters.
Medic Dartrifle
- A more accurate dart rifle. It has the ability to fire an enhanced dart capable of healing even the most terrible wounds. The enhanced version of the substance is needed to reload it.
These weapons come with some limitations. Won’t be able to regenerate lost limbs (or heal the damage when lost), nor will they heal scars or diseases.
You need to research them in order to craft them
- The hyperhealing theory: unlocks Medic Dartgun and basic hyperhealing canisters
- The hyperhealing thesis: unlocks Medic Dartrifle and enhanced hyperhealing canisters
This mod changes how battles develop. A healing weapon could make the game too easy, so to balance it, weapons have limited uses that you’ll need to replenish via a the weapon fuel system.
But don’t worry, you won’t have an overwhelming advantage over your enemies. They’ll also provide their own weapons and heal their allies, they also will not consume the weapon charges. This also applies to allied NPCs
I recommend combining this mod with other mods that increase the threats you will face.
- It should be compatible with everything, if there are any errors, you can report them
- COMBAT EXTENDED COMPATIBLE !!!!
- Pawns with a healing weapon will "Search and destroy" their wounded allies 😀
Know issues:
The pawns wont refuel weapons themselves, this is intentional. I couldn’t make a working workgiver T_T, but I’ll try to implement it in the future.
