Description:

A rewrite of my old dodge rolling system with compatibility for both xDR & DynaBase. Animations are pulled from the "Extended Player Animations" addon.

This rewrite removes all jank the old implementation had. It just works™. There have been some QoL edits to the configuration as well.
This rewrite now also features better control, you can slightly adjust your heading direction while rolling. There’s also foley sounds now.

Convars

  • sv_dodgeroll_cooldown — Time (in seconds) between evade rolls
  • sv_dodgeroll_damagereduction — Number (in decimal percentage). Reduce damage while dodge rolling. At 0.5 you will take half damage, for instance.
  • sv_dodgeroll_power — The power of the dodge rolling. I do not recommend changing this, but you can if you want to.
  • sv_dodgeroll_sounds — Whether or not the mod should play foley sounds when dodge rolling.

"Is there a way I can define a custom rolling sound?"
Yes, with lua:

if Draconic then DRC:RegisterPlayerExtension("male10", "Extensions", "RollSound", "dodgeroll.gear") end

<playermodel name>, "Extensions", "RollSound", <scripted sound>.

"I preferred the old version, can I get it still?"
Yes, it’s unlisted as this version is the now-maintained one. You can find the old one here.
