Necromancer Rework
Here is the All in one version
The goal of this mod is to make the Necromancer boss fight more interesting. Currently he only has 3 AOE skills that each spawn a random skeleton and move him back. The fight is changed to include different preset comp summons and skill sets that change based on which phase he’s in. Trophies have also been added to the apprentice and veteran versions of the boss.
- 3 phases which change fluently based on hp
- 3 summon compositions: Balanced, Aggressive and Defensive
- Necromancer will have 4 skills based on his rank and an aura, which change each phase
- Whenever his lackeys are killed he will resummon them one by one
- When brought low, he will start sacrificing his own lackeys to gain hp
- In the final phase, he will try his best to stay alive or take you down with him
- 2 new (lesser) trophy trinkets which give you bonuses against eldritch & unholy enemies
- Necromancer himself is not that threatning and will require a turn to come online after each phase change, thus his hp has been increased by 50%
Necromancer now has 3 phases and focuses on different things each phase. Phase changes take place at hp thresholds.
Each phase starts with him summoning 3 monsters. First phase is a balanced comp, second one is a damage dealer comp and the third one is a tanky heal comp.
Necro will use a turn to resummon the skeletons of that specific phase when they’re killed.
If hp goes back up a threshold, he will go back to that phase.
Necro’s skills and aura are based on which phase he’s in. Each phase he wants to be in a different rank and his skills change accordingly.
He will move twice per turn in the last phase, ignore resurrecting his minions and focus on keeping himself alive.
1st Phase >65% HP
Balanced comp
- Rank 1: Tank | Stuns marked
- Rank 2: Melee DMG dealer | DMG vs Marked
- Rank 4: Stress | Stress vs Marked
Basic reanimation skill
- when one of the skeletons dies, he will use a turn to reanimate them
- Increases Necromancer’s PROT by 25%
+4 Skills
- Rank 1: Strike the first 2 enemies, move back 2, buff prot
- Rank 2: Stress AoE, move back 1, buff own dodge
- Rank 3: Horror + Mark an enemy 50% chance for a bonus target
- Rank 4: aoe buff 25%DMG, 50% chance to buff dodge, move forward 1
2nd Phase 35-65% HP
Damage dealer comp
- Rank 1: Melee DMG | DMG vs Marked
- Rank 3: Bleed DMG
- Rank 4: Ranged DMG | DMG vs Marked
Buffed reanimation skill
– Increases Necromancer’s PROT by 25%
– now gives party a single turn buff that is based on the resummon
- Melee DMG: +PROT
- Bleed DMG: +DODGE
- Ranged DMG:: +DMG
+4 Skills
- Rank 1: AoE lackey prot buff, 50% chance for less crts received, Back 1
- Rank 2: Single target debuff prot + mark,
- Rank 3: strike everyone, Debuff Bleed Res, Forward 1
- Rank 4: strike back 2, Buff lackey crt, Forward 2
Sacrifice Skill
- 2:1 chance to use vs other skills
- kills a skeleton
- restores hp & buffs necro dodge based on rank
3rd Phase 0-35% HP
Defense comp (App)
- Rank 1: Tank
- Rank 2: Melee DMG
- Rank 3: Healer | +Healing received aura
Defense comp (vet+)
- Rank 1 & 2: Size 2 Tank
- Rank 3: Healer | +Healing received aura
No longer reanimates
- Healer will reanimate
MOVES TWICE PER ROUND
New Skill used when below 10% hp or after the healer has died
- massive aoe damage + stress, self damage to Necro (~3%)
Sacrifice Skill
- mediocre chance to kill the tank
- huge heal
- can only be used once per battle
+4 Skills
- Rank 1: Stun front 2 + damage, bonus DMG vs Marked, Back 3
- Rank 2: Heal, Buff single target SPD & Dodge, Back 2
- Rank 3: AoE Stress, debuff DMG received, Back 1
- Rank 4: Lifesteal, bonus hp healed vs Marked
2 Bonus skills usable from any rank
- Single target Mark + SPD debuff
- Single target Horror + ACC debuff
Aura
- Phase 1 Debuffs enemy ACC/DODGE
- Phase 2 Buffs allies’ DMG/ACC
- Phase 3 Debuffs enemy DMG/Stress Received
Stats:
Bleed, Blight & Debuff resistances increase each phase by 10%
Same hp, Dodge & Prot
Lower Move resistance by 10%
Speed is lower first phase, normal 2nd phase and higher 3rd phase
Trinkets:
Necromancer’s Scroll
+1 HP Healed
+1 HP Healed if vs unholy (1+)
+1 HP Healed if vs unholy (4+)
-3% CRT
-3% CRT if vs unholy (1+)
-3% CRT if vs unholy (4+)
-6 DODGE
Eldritch Remains
+10% PROT if vs unholy
+10% PROT if vs eldritch
-10% PROT if vs human
-15% Stress if vs unholy
-15% Stress if vs eldritch
+15% Stress if vs human
Damage dealers that hit rank 3 are necessary.
Bleed & Blight sticks easier on the early phases, but deals damage faster in the last phase.
Stuns are amazing in the first 2 phases.
Shuffling Necromancer around allows him to use more powerful skills.
Killing his lackeys is not recommended, unless if you’re afraid of the Necromancer’s marks.
Exception to the above rule is the healer in the third phase. If you don’t think you can finish Necromancer off fast, focus the healer (lackey bearer) down instead. He increases healing received by the Necromancer, which can be huge with the sacrifice skill.
If you kill Necromancer first in the final phase and the 3 lackeys are left over, kill the Healer off first so he won’t resurrect the other monsters.
Currently there are no sounds on any of the custom moves I’ve added, but I’ll try to find some time to add sounds to them.
