Description:
CoB NVGs – Advanced Night Vision System

The most realistic night vision mod for Arma 3. Three distinct devices with startup power-up, auto-gating flash protection, IR strobe IFF beacons, battery management, phosphor modes, adjustable brightness and contrast, auto-gain, film grain, scintillation, radial blur, chromatic aberration, and device-specific tube overlays with battery indicator.

AN/PVS-31A
Binocular (dual tube)

Each device has a unique full-screen tube mask overlay matching its real-world housing geometry, with device-specific optical characteristics.

Features
  • Startup Power-Up – 1.5 second fade-in when toggling NVGs on with grain stabilization
  • Auto-Gating – Device-specific flash protection from explosions and flares (PVS-14 gets blinded, PVS-31 recovers fast, GPNVG-18 barely affected)
  • IR Strobe (IFF) – Helmet-mounted flashing IR beacon visible only through NVGs for friendly identification
  • Battery System – 60-minute battery life with low-battery warning, visual degradation, on-screen battery indicator, and replacement
  • Phosphor Modes – Green, White, and Amber phosphor (saved to profile)
  • Adjustable Brightness – -50% to +100% range
  • Adjustable Contrast – -50% to +100% range
  • Auto-Gain – Automatic brightness adjustment based on ambient light conditions
  • Film Grain – Ambient-responsive tube noise that increases in low light (device-specific grain size)
  • Scintillation – Random bright pixel sparkle (realistic image intensifier artifact)
  • Radial Blur – Device-specific edge softness (center sharp, periphery soft)
  • Chromatic Aberration – Device-specific optical fringing at screen edges
  • Device-Specific Overlays – Full-screen tube mask for each device (mono, bino, quad) with battery indicator
  • Settings Persistence – Brightness, contrast, phosphor, auto-gain, and battery saved to profile
