Witch Hunter Class Mod
Hi guys. I just started poking around and trying to edit files and i came up with this. The Witch Hunter! Theyre supposed to be a more aggressive crusader who was worn down to the point of madness and rampage. As such theyre balanced around the fact that they have high damage output, but are singular in their attacks, and can harm their own party a great deal. Just a heads up, i think youre gonna need shieldbreaker and crimson court for this business to work. This is all very much a personal project i just felt like sharing, so enjoy if you wish. and let me know if it makes your game explode.
the skills we’re currently working with are as follows:
note* a few of the witch hunter’s skills reduce torchlight. Also, alot of the witch hunter’s skills carry negative effects, alot of these are reduced as he levels up. at kind of an artificial attempt at balance.
‘Soul Hunter’ Single target damage to the back three ranks, extra damage to unholy, eldritch and bloodsuckers. (Might add slight buff)
‘Magia’ fairly strong self heal, at the cost of stressing out allies.
‘break’ stun to the front two ranks, armor pierces and has fairly high damage. (for a stun)
‘retaliation’ a long lasting, yet fairly low damage reposte. gives 1 shieldbreaker block.
‘effigy’ heal allie, stress party a great deal, and unstress self. )im not sure how i feel about this one, seems a little
clunky in execution’
‘beacon’ a mark that does damage and bypasses stealth, but has no debuff attached. I’m looking into adding debuffs and buffs to the witch hunter’s skillset, not sure where to apply them though.
‘essence’ A strong bleed attack, that bleeds self for less time, but more damage. the bleed you deal scales up, and the bleed you deal to yourself scales down as you level up this ability.
Those are it for now. You may notice the animations look kinda dumb, and the sound doesnt play. These are to change as i decide what to do with the art for the class. Also, every skill is up for change or suggestion, which is greatly appreciated. My goal for this project is a powerful character, with some serious drawbacks to balancethem out.
