Unions in EU5 have no exit door. This mod adds one: a Leave Union interaction in the union panel, so you can walk out of a personal union instead of being stuck in it forever.
How it works
- Senior partner: leaves cleanly and keeps the ruler. Every other member then faces a succession: an event to crown a new ruler from among its own nobles.
- Junior partner: breaking free is conspiracy work – you need a spy network of 30+ against a senior member (or any other member, if the union has no seniority). And your former senior gets a Claim Throne casus belli on you (all members get it if the union has no seniority policy). Freedom has a price.
- Player-only: the AI never dissolves unions on its own.
