Donut – Aspect Signals – Logic
This mod broadcasts the current aspect of Signals and Waypoints.
The "Aspect Signal" signal, and "Aspect Waypoint" waypoint, are assigned to the tracks, in the normal way. These apply the standard Signal/Waypoint effect.
Additionally, it allows the mod to get the current state of that track segment, and any associated trains.
The logic traces the route of the train to the segment where it doesn’t have access. It does this past signals, waypoints, and up to stations.
It then determines the state of each "Aspect Signal" or "Aspect Waypoint" attached to the track between that end point, and the train. Each signal/waypoint has its aspect incremented backwards from the last segment the train is cleared for. This regularly doesn’t match what the game’s engine projects (it is much more accurate).
