Description:

Welcome to the Promotion Mod.

This is an intitial build of the mod so I can start garnering feedback on the Promotion System.
There will be bugs, there will be balance changes, so I would recommend backing up and splitting off a save to use this mod.
This mod is overall pretty safe to remove/add, though if you intend on uninstalling the mod, make sure your character is NOT in the Quiet Cottage zone.

I am looking specifically for balancing suggestions and bug reports. Since there are so many features added, it kinda got out of hand and I’m looking to have people deep-test specific promotions and provide feedback.

This is a rather large mod, so please read this thoroughly to learn about all the changes and features.

Unfortunately this Mod is in English only for now. Once I finish the initial polishing I will try to feed it through some AI to translate it.

Overview:
– Essentially every vanilla Elin Class gets two promotion classes, each with their own passives and abilities.
– Tourists have a single unique promotion option: The Adventurer. However, they can also choose any Promotion from any other class.
– New Zone and NPC: Quiet Cottage. This is not a claimable area. This is where Lailah resides, who will be your source of Promotion Manuals.

The Promotion System
The reclusive witch of the woods, Lailah, resides in the Quiet Cottage to the southwest of the default Meadows starting point.
By helping her, you can unlock the access to the Promotion Manuals, which allow any character that has reached level 20 to advance their Job into a Promoted Class.
Promoting will unlock multiple passives and abilities unique to that class that provide alternate playstyles.

Note, this mod was mostly designed with the PC in mind, but I tried my best to make sure that NPCs can also use promotion abilities.
Party members can only promote if they meet the requirements:
– They must be level 20
– They must have 75 affinity with the player.
– They must be a Job that can promote (Only vanilla player selectable Jobs can promote. Importantly, Predator cannot promote.)
Some classes are PC promotion only given their nature as their specialties are useless if given to an NPC.

The abilities granted by Promotion classes are locked to their promotion and cannot be used when the Promotion does not match. They are not acquirable as genes.
Many of the new summons and enemy types possess very powerful abilities or statlines not to be used outside their normal use cases. For that reason, the ability to get eggs or genes out of them has been specifically disabled.

Unfortunately steam description section is way too short, so please visit the Github here to view the full breakdown:

Planned Content:
– Additional Offshoot Promotion Classes (These do not require a specific class to go into, however they must be unlocked through various means.)
– New City: Aluèna
– New Quests.
– New NPCs galore, both recruitable and non recruitable.
– 2 New Guilds each with their own services to provide.
– New Enemies (That will be using the Promoted jobs as well)
– New Bosses with their own mechanics requiring actual planning instead of just DYS.

See here for more details:

Note: Portraits added in this game for the unique charas are AI generated. All sprites are not.
Jenei Ability and Condition Icons are from Golden Sun Lost Age.
Knightcaller Portraits are from Knights in the Nightmare.

The CWL requirement has been dropped. Thank you DK for all your hard work!

Please reach out to me on the Elona Discord Server @ Pinned FAQ 『Han』 to report bugs quickly.
You can post here, but I don’t really check this section as much.
