ERS – Network Extend Pack

Expand your power grid beyond physical limits.

This add-on for Energy Routing System (ERS) introduces a new infrastructure element: the Network Extend, a relay device designed to extend your electrical network across long distances without altering its core behavior.

What does it do?

The Network Extend acts as a pure relay node:

  • Extends connection range between devices and the Energy Controller
  • Allows remote placement of generators (solar, wind, hydro)
  • Enables distributed setups outside your base
  • Maintains full compatibility with ERS systems

How it works

  • The Network Extend does not generate or store energy
  • It does not modify capacity or limits
  • It simply relays connections through the network
  • All energy calculations remain handled by the Energy Controller

Your network becomes:

Producers → Network Extend → Energy Controller

Important Notes

  • Device limits are global per controller
  • Connections through Network Extend count toward the same limit as direct connections
  • The node does not act as a secondary controller
  • Batteries must still be connected directly to the controller

Design Philosophy

This pack follows the core ERS principles:

  • Centralized logic (controller-driven)
  • No artificial capacity inflation
  • No hidden energy generation
  • Clean, predictable multiplayer behavior

The Network Extend does not make your system stronger — it makes it possible.

Having received permission, credit must be given to the original creator, both within the files of the mod and wherever the mod roams online. The only exception is that servers may freely include this mod in their modpacks, with the freedom to alter it or make modifications as they see fit, as long as credits are properly given to the original creator.
