Starting 2006, the Schweizer Luftwaffe would be equipped with 6x Pilatus PC-21 trainer aircraft. These trainers are Lead-In Fighter Trainers, aircraft designed to mimic training in operational fighter jets without as high of a cost. The PC-21 is essentially one of the last steps before you take flight in your first jet.
2 more PC-21s would be delivered to the Swiss Airforce with the "Armament Programme 2010", and all 8 PC-21s would receive a mid-life upgrade that was finished in 2024.
Some carry a variant of this livery, with half of the aircraft in white, and the other half in red.
