The massive regenerating parasite filled monsters from Resident Evil 4’s 2023 Remake.
I tried to keep most of the bones that didn’t directly correlate to a bone in the GMod rig, although you’ll probably need something like kuma7’s Overhauled Bone Tool to pose the extra bones (twists, jaw and tongue, toes, etc).
This is my first big porting project in about six years, and I’ve learned quite a bit in that time. A friend needed me to port the hands over for a project he was working on, so I figured i’d try my hand at actually making a playermodel with physics instead of just porting models for pac outfits.
The overall porting process was fairly simple, although I had to make use of delta animations in order to preserve the regenerador’s proportions. The physics model and bone rigging were both pulled from Barney’s playermodel, but modified to fit the creature. The playermodels do have associated hands, although they are a little buggy due to the aforementioned different proportions. I may revisit this later to try and make the hands fit better.
This is also my first time adding jigglebones to a model (trying to recreate the grotesque way it appears in the game). As a result, they may be fairly choppy. I added a secondary model without jigglebones as well.
