Infinite Weight In Camp

No weight limit while you stand inside your base camp. Step outside and normal weight rules apply again.

Current version: 3.0.0 – a stability rewrite that fixes the micro-stutter, the stuck overweight message, and the crash reports, and lets you sprint while loaded up in camp. Full history in the Change Notes tab.

• No more micro-stutter – the mod is now fully event-driven and does nothing at all at the menu or out in the world (the old version scanned the whole game on a repeating timer, which was the periodic hitch people saw even in menus).
• The "You’re weighed down…" message no longer sticks on screen until relog.
• Fixed the crashes / EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION reports.
• You can now sprint while carrying over the limit in a base camp.
• Stat points spent in camp are kept when you leave.

1. Subscribe to this mod and to UE4SS Experimental (Palworld) – it’s listed under Required Items on this page, Steam will prompt you.
2. Launch Palworld and enable both in Options → Mod Management.
3. Restart the game. That’s it – no files to edit, updates install themselves.

The original 2024 version changed weight on your own game only, but Palworld’s servers are the authority for weight – that mismatch caused the infamous rubber banding on servers. This version works on the authority side instead, and has been tested and confirmed working in single player, co-op, and on a real dedicated server with unmodded clients connecting – no rubber banding.

• Single player: subscribe, enable, play.
• Co-op: only the HOST needs the mod. Guests need nothing and get the full effect.
• Dedicated servers: only the SERVER needs the mod – every player benefits, modded or not. Server installs are manual: grab the server package from the Nexus page linked below. Confirmed working on Windows servers and on Proton/Wine-based Linux hosting panels.
• Joining someone else’s server as a client? The mod deliberately does nothing on your side (that’s what used to cause rubber banding). Ask the server owner to install it.

While a player stands inside any base camp circle, their max carry weight is raised to 1,000,000 (configurable) – so no weight limit, no movement slow, and you can still sprint. On leaving, your real value is restored exactly, including any stat points you spent while in camp. The max-weight value replicates from server to client natively, so vanilla clients stay perfectly in sync, and it’s fully event-driven so there’s no performance cost while you play.

Edit this file under your game folder:

Settings: boosted max weight, how often the effect refreshes in camp, the F6 re-apply hotkey, the overweight message text (for non-English clients), and logging. Heads-up: when the mod updates, the game re-deploys its files and your config edits are reset – just re-apply them after an update.

• Not working? Check PalworldModsNativeModsUE4SSUE4SS.log for a "[InfiniteWeightInCamp] loaded build 3.0.0" line. If it’s missing, make sure BOTH mods are enabled in Mod Management, then restart the game.
• If you previously installed UE4SS manually (files in PalBinariesWin64ue4ss), remove or disable that install – running a manual UE4SS alongside the Workshop one injects two copies into the game and crashes it.
