This Mod is an evolution and improvement of my previous work Catvrix for Rome 2 Total War and Imbolc for Attila Total War, making those versions obsolete. This mod aims to improve the graphical quality of effects to the maximum level allowed by the game engine, including lighting, textures, flashes, particles, winds, shadows, reflections and now, thanks to a better understanding of the engine, also sounds, bringing more environmental and visceral sounds to battles.

Unlike the versions that were a tribute to the Celtic gods, these new versions of the mods, which will be available for Rome 2, Attila, Thrones of Britannia and Shogun 2, are a tribute to Tarot cards, mainly the Major Arcana. In this case, to card XVI, The Tower, which is related to destruction, loss, falling from grace, as well as the end of everything, being, in a certain way, the most terrible card in the entire Tarot.

• Falling leaves near trees.
• Volumetric clouds that expand and move.
• Pollen, insects, flowers and other unique details depending on the map region.
• "Eye Adaptation" effect.
• New effect textures.
• Weather changes during battles, such as rain, snowfall or sandstorms. (Only activated if you have The Star card)
• Flowers falling depending on the region, leaves falling from trees, pollen and rainbows. (Only activated if you have The Star card)
• Unique campaign map climates. (Only activated if you have The Hanged Man card)
• Leaves, rain, screen effects and atmospheric effects in the campaign. (Only activated if you have The Star card)
• Bubble effects and fish escaping when ships move. (Only activated if you have The Lovers card)
• New light, reflection and shadow effects.
• New shaders that improve how lighting works and improve anti-aliasing without losing performance.
• Complete overhaul of all native game effects.
• 31 new effects.
• Volumetric clouds.
• New dismemberment effects.
• New battle and environmental sound package.
• Soldiers vomiting, defecating and urinating during battles.
• New gore and blood effects; soldiers will leave blood footprints where they walk and you will see intestines, bones and body parts flying.

Is the file download and placement in DATA mandatory?

• Technically yes, because it activates all the new effects and modifications to vanilla effects. If you do not place the file in the DATA folder, you will truly NOT notice a single change.

Is it compatible with other mods?

• Yes, with the vast majority, but obviously not with other effect mods. It was tested with DEI; if something looks strange, it is something specific to your setup and not related to the mod.

Does it affect game performance?

• Yes and no. In a way, it is designed to perform better than the vanilla game, but if you fill the screen with massive amounts of flaming arrows, your FPS may decrease.

Is it available in all languages?

• It is available in all official languages.

Does this change gameplay?

• Technically no, but with weather changes, denser smoke, rain starting or sandstorms occurring, it can have a small impact.

What is the load order?

• The load order of my mods is literally the same order in which I release them, starting with XVII at the beginning.

What will happen to the Celtic mods?

• They became obsolete, but if you prefer them, they will still be available on my Workshop to use. Sharing is living.

If you feel that the mod is too heavy for your PC, you can try this version, "The Devil Card", which is exactly the same, but with effect textures in 512×512. However, the file required in the DATA folder remains the same and is still mandatory.
