Badfurs [ModContest1]

This mod adds a new faction, the Badfurs, who favor Badwater.

Since the introduction of Badwater, it felt only natural that there be a faction that flips the script and favors it instead of water. That’s who the Badfurs are. They have adapted to survive in the harsh world the hoomans left behind, turning to science to thrive from contamination. From cultivating arid crops, tapping Badtide drains, and dwelling underground at night, the Badfurs are sure to present a new challenge.

The Badfurs currently have the following features (plus a few more for you to discover)

• The Badfur prefer drinking badwater, but can still drink water in an emergency.
• Unique crops adept at growing in harsh environments.
• Crops receive a growth boost on contaminated soil.
• The Arid Farmhouse can be used to grow certain crops on dry soil.
• Food processing involves grilling crops, and late-game, drying and pressing food into nutrition bars.

• The Industrial Refinery efficiently produces Biofuel from Extract.
• The Combustion Engine burns Biofuel to produce power.
• Badbots refuel at Fuel Stations, consuming Biofuel.

• Badfurs repopulate through Breeding Pods, similar to the Iron Teeth.
• They stow themselves away at night in underground Silos.

• Beavers will slowly go feral from their reliance on badwater.
• Feral beavers will not work and consume goods at an accelerated rate.
• Being social will slow their decent to ferality.
• (Coming soon) A good to boost the beaver’s working speed at the sacrifice of going feral quicker.

• The Large Badwater Pump is more efficient and the Badwater Tap allows for flowing Badtide Drains regardless of season.
• The Wet Fur and Contamination needs have been replaced with Contaminated Fur, giving beavers the contaminated appearance without the downsides.
• A custom difficulty with much more frequent and longer Badtides.

• If used with the Configurable Faction mod, Wet Fur and Badwater Contamination needs reappear.
