Description:
☀ Sunset Invasion Revival ☀

The sun rises in the east. Its children come from the west.

Sunset Invasion Revival restores and massively expands the classic transatlantic invasion for Crusader Kings III 1.19 (Scribe).

Exotic ships appear along the Atlantic coast. Foreign armies establish a beachhead, found the realm of Tonalquizayan, and begin their conquest of the Old World.

The Sunset Invasion
  • Experience the complete invasion arc: the first landing, the beachhead war, the founding of Tonalquizayan, and the campaigns that follow.
  • Customize the invasion’s date and strength through game rules.
  • Large kingdoms are carved apart rather than instantly conquered. The invaders seize their richest lands and leave wounded realms behind.

A Living Empire Beyond the Sea
  • An off-map simulation tracks the Aztec emperor, six imperial conditions, and twelve conquest regions across the Americas.
  • The homeland determines when the fleet sails, how powerful it will be, and whether reinforcements arrive.
  • A weakened empire may send a small, stranded expedition. An unchecked empire can land as many as 38 armies.

Jade Dragon, Reborn
  • Look Beyond the Western Sea: investigate the emperor, condition, and conquests of the western empire.
  • The Court of the Sun: earn Imperial Favor through tribute, ships, and submission. Spend it on Jaguar Knights, regiments, crops, or peace.
  • Refugees of Fallen Nations: receive Chichimec wayfinders, Quechua engineers, and other survivors of the American conquests.
  • Oppose the invaders, collaborate with them, or rule among them. Fund resistance in their homeland—or prosper as their ally.

The Old World Responds
  • More than 26 reaction events for the great powers, faiths, and cultures of the medieval world.
  • Rally Christendom in a true Great Holy War, attend the Council at Jerusalem, or witness al-Andalus rise in defense.
  • Experience a complete Byzantine response chain, from the first diplomatic encounter to the Empire of Two Horizons.
  • North Atlantic rulers may discover rumors, wreckage, and castaways decades before the invasion begins.
  • Includes the Columbian Exchange, human sacrifice, nine landmark conquests, and multiple victory or collapse endings.

The Faith of the Fifth Sun

Toltecayotl has been rebuilt around historical Mexica religion with seven distinct cults:

Huitzilopochtli • Tlaloc • Tezcatlipoca • Quetzalcoatl • Xipe Totec • Mictlantecuhtli • The Topiltzin Reform

  • Traditional cults share temples, marriages, and a common sacred order. Only the outlawed Topiltzin Reform breaks the peace.
  • Every cult receives unique rites, festivals, religious pressures, and crises.
  • Includes Nourish the Sun, Tlacaxipehualiztli, Toxcatl, drought years, thorn penance, the Vigil of the Ancestors, and more.
  • Custom emblem artwork for every cult and doctrine.

Compatibility
  • Crusader Kings III 1.19.*
  • No DLC required.
  • English only for now.
  • A new campaign is strongly recommended.
  • Not compatible with achievements.

The mod overrides genes, succession laws, and several database files. Total conversions, portrait-gene mods, and other mods that alter the same files may be incompatible.

Known Issues
  • Naturally born Aztec characters may become large enough to clip through the ported clothing. Generated invaders are protected from this issue.
