Description:

As a young man, paralyzed by fear, Richard had to watch his younger sister being murdered by an armed criminal. Throughout his life, he lived with the guilt of his sister’s death and regretted his impotence and inability to have protected her, believing that he should have died in her place. As a result, he grew up with a strong desire to have the power to protect others. This desire served as the main motivation for his future career. Richard was assigned to the S.T.A.R.S Bravo team and was put in charge of communications, where he earned a reputation for being easily able to read people’s emotions and do what was necessary to protect someone, even if it cost his own life.
