Description:
Cut That Tree!

This mod not simply adds minigame. It takes into account your character condition, trees itself and axes. You can chop trees much faster if you do it right or much slower if you don’t

Instead of simply waiting for the vanilla chopping action to finish, you get an interactive UI with a moving marker, tree health, tool sharpness, rhythm, combo, and visible damage stages on the trunk.

How it works

Press Right Click on Tree and there will be new action called Cut That Tree!
During minigame press X or the Hit button when the marker reaches the target zone.

🟢 Green zone – is a clean hit. Best damage, protects your axe condition(a small sharpness loss) and builds combo 🎯
🟡 Yellow zone – glancing hit. Still useful, but weaker and slowly dulls the axe.
🔴 Red zone – bad swing. Poor result, more tool wear, more sharpness loss, and no real progress.

🔧Main features

  • Tree HP and damage progress shown in the UI
  • As the tree takes damage the trunk texture changes to show deeper cuts based on tree HP.
  • Green zone gets harder as the tree is chopped deeper
  • Combo system for consecutive clean hits
  • Axe sharpness and condition matter
  • Endurance, fatigue, pain, skills, maintenance, rain and darkness affect control
  • Customizable options in Sandbox
🎯Combo and rhythm

Landing several clean hits in a row starts a combo.

Combo rewards good timing with stronger chopping progress, but it also makes the marker move faster. The longer you keep the streak going, the more intense the mini-game becomes.

Rhythm is a progress bank for your chopping flow. Good hits build rhythm, weak hits build less, and bad swings reduce it. When rhythm fills up, your next chopping sequence gains extra damage.

❤️‍🩹Your character condition matters
  • Higher Axe skill gives better control.
  • Maintenance helps preserve the tool.
  • Low endurance makes the marker harder to manage.
  • Fatigue makes timing less stable.
  • Pain and hand injuries reduce control.
  • Rain makes chopping slightly less precise.
  • Darkness makes the target harder to handle.
  • A sharper axe gives a more forgiving rhythm.
  • A dull or damaged axe makes the marker less comfortable.
  • Thicker trees are harder to chop cleanly.

⚙️Compatibility

The mod uses vanilla tree damage behavior and should work with axes or tools tagged for chopping trees.

What build? Does it work in MP?

Tested on B42.19 (But should work on B42.17-18)
