Hello, Drifters!

I’m coming back to you very quickly with my new mod – Hatedmekkr’s Workshop: New Katanas Models.

Now, compared to my previous mod, this is the fastest work I’ve done. I spent one day creating models/meshes and adding them to the game, and another day creating screenshots and GIFs.

But this does not mean that the quality of the work is low. (I hope)

Models:

I must say right away that this is a REPLACEMENT for vanilla katanas in the game, and does not add new ones.
(Almost. But more about that later)

And this mod replaces all vanilla katanas:

  • Katana;
  • Guardless Katana;
  • Ninja Blade;
  • Nodachi;
  • Topper;
  • Wakizashi. – (The Wakizashi uses the same model as a regular katana, just a smaller version. That’s why its not on the screenshots.)

Now, the new models have more details and have "depth":

  • The handle has a 3D wraps, which may vary from type to type;
  • The handle and tsuba also have more polygons and details;
  • The sheaths has also been changed, adding details that were previously was just a texture.

And other changes that improve models.

Textures:

The new katana models also use vanilla textures, which means that if you play with any replacement of weapon textures, the visual of the new models will not change and "will not break".

(Personally, I managed to notice that the textures are of Luxury Weapons from the mod New Weapons Dissemination Mod looks cool)

Bonus – Paired Versions:

I also decided to make paired variations of katanas.
All this is just a visual. You will also all fight with one sword.

But still, two katanas are much better than one, right?

You can get them to craft through vanilla blueprints. That is, if you have studied the "Ninja Blades" blueprints, Paired Versions will also become available with it.

(In theory, it shouldn’t break anything in any way. This needs to be tested. I will be glad if you leave a review about this)

Paired Versions of katanas are not yet found on NPCs or in the world. I may update this aspect in the future.

Conflicts with other mods and Game Import:

Of course, there will most likely be conflicts with other similar mods that also replace vanilla katana models.

But in different ways, there shouldn’t be any problems.
