More… Purple 😉

Now with roman unit model

This mod seek to improve the mid/late game of Byzantium. It doesn’t make it overpowered, however you’ll have the strongest capital of the world, once you’ve build all of the 4 new wonders of Constantinopolis. Don’t be deceive, it’ll be harder than the previous start because you start with roman culture surrounded by greeks which will make expansion threatening and revolts even more… Also, those wonders come at a great price (I will try to balance things in the near future, just need your comments and suggestion ;).

This mod includes, wonders, the byzantine flag, culture change, decisions and a great dose of challenge 😉

I intend to develop this mod if there is demand, I am still very new to modding so it will take time and patience, but I’m devoted and I love to do it. I will look into every suggestion and I plan to add a lot more things to this mod.

Wonders

**I would love if someone could do 3d models, if you can just contact me**

Theodosian Wall

The Walls of Constantinople are a series of defensive stone walls that have surrounded and protected the city of Constantinople (today Istanbul in Turkey) since its founding as the new capital of the Roman Empire by Constantine the Great. With numerous additions and modifications during their history, they were the last great fortification system of antiquity, and one of the most complex and elaborate systems ever built. As the city grew, the famous double line of the Theodosian Walls was built in the 5th century. Although the other sections of the walls were less elaborate, they were, when well-manned, almost impregnable for any medieval besieger, saving the city, and the Byzantine Empire with it, during sieges from the Avar-Sasanian coalition, Arabs, Rus’, and Bulgars, among others. The advent of gunpowder siege cannons rendered the fortifications vulnerable, but cannon technology was not sufficiently advanced to capture the city on its own, and the walls could be repaired between reloading. Ultimately, the city fell from the sheer weight of numbers of the Ottoman forces on 29 May 1453 after a six-week siege.

In game, this wonder will bring you a huge amount of fort defense, making Contantinopolis the hardest city to capture, however, it’ll raise your fort maintenance by a significant amount. Also add 4 slaves to represent the amount of slaves needed to build this wall (the Byzantine bought slaves to build this wall).

The Tower of Galata

The old Tower of Galata was a tower which stood on the north side of the Golden Horn in Constantinople, inside the citadel of Galata. The tower marked the northern end of the great chain, which was stretched across the mouth of the Golden Horn to the Tower of Eugenius to prevent enemy ships from entering the harbor. The tower contained a mechanism of elevation gears for raising and lowering the chain, effectively controling the trade by sea around the city.

In game, this wonder will give you trade bonus, add 1 more importation route.

Basilica Citern

The Basilica Cistern is the largest of several hundred ancient cisterns that lie beneath the city of Istanbul (formerly Constantinople), Turkey. The cistern, located 150 metres (490 ft) southwest of the Hagia Sophia on the historical peninsula of Sarayburnu, was built in the 6th century during the reign of Byzantine Emperor Justinian I. All those citerns were build to sustain the growing population of the city and also to sustain prolonged siege or "potable water shortage".

In game, the bonus it gives try to represent the hundred of citerns, so it gives a huge amount of food capacity, a good amount of siege defense (you don’t run out of water, you can stay alive longer), population growth, supply limit is 50% bigger (in constantinopolis), and a good amount of pop capacity. It also come with 4 slaves to show the numbers of slaves requird to build such wonder.

Golden Horn

The Golden Horn is a major urban waterway and the primary inlet of the Bosphorus in Istanbul, Turkey.

As a natural estuary that connects with the Bosphorus Strait at the point where the strait meets the Sea of Marmara, the waters of the Golden Horn help define the northern boundary of the peninsula constituting "Old Istanbul" (ancient Byzantium and Constantinople), the tip of which is the promontory of Sarayburnu, or Seraglio Point. This estuarial inlet geographically separates the historic center of Istanbul from the rest of the city, and forms a horn-shaped, sheltered harbor that in the course of history has protected Greek, Roman, Byzantine, Ottoman and other maritime trade ships for thousandsof years. While the reference to a "horn" is understood to refer to the inlet’s aerial silhouette, the significance of the designation "golden" remains more obscure, with historians believing it to refer to the riches brought into the city through the bustling historic harbor located along its shores.

In game, it wil give a great bonus to trade, pop capacity, migration attraction and a great amount of pop if you can obtain the decision.
