Local Universities
Martian Universities only train needed specialists in and around their dome. Universities and School shifts are opened and closed automatically as needed.
A new feature has been added to the mod that allows setting shift control On or Off. To access this feature load your game then click the Main Menu button in the lower right corner of the screen and select Options, Mod Options then Local Universities to set the desired control mode for each type of building then click apply. NOTE: The setting applies to all Schools and Universities in your colony.
How Automatic Shift Control works.
Every hour the University and School in each dome will check how many open shifts are required to train all needed specialists or children living in the dome. Shifts will be opened or closed to adjust to the changing number of specialists and children needing training. When no more specialists are needed or children are present all shifts will close.
Setup.
Build one Martian University and one School in each dome. Make sure your out dome workplaces are only in the range of one dome so that a university in a nearby dome does not try to train duplicate specialists. I recommend using my Auto Birth Control Policy mod in conjunction with this mod for more complete control of your domes population and specialist training.
