Research basic clothing/leather/plate, research new dye technologies, learn item blueprint, research coloured variant.
If the coloured items aren’t in the list, import and get the regular item blueprint again. If that still doesn’t work, let me know, upload a save to the discussion thread and I’ll try to work it out.

Dyeing research requires the base research for the item type:
– Clothing is researchable after "Simple Clothing Types"
– Leather after "Leather Armour Crafting"
– Armour after "Plate Armor Crafting"
To created the coloured version, you must have the blueprint for the original item and have researched the relevant research above.
NOTE: To make this possible, each armour item now has a normal blueprint item and all of the shops have been updated to carry these rather than an "armour blueprint" entry.
This includes items that do not have coloured versions yet. This seems to be ok, but might cause something I haven’t expected. If the items aren’t showing, try importing then buying/using the normal item blueprint again.
BE WARNED: *A LOT* of new items are added to the crafting list, it will be considerably longer.
