Description:

70 Character start. Hard. RP.

"Refugees from a far off land, your boat has sunk. With nothing but the clothes on your back and the last of your worldly possessions you dive into the ocean and begin swimming towards a nearby island. Poorly equipped in a strange and possibly hostile land, all you have is each other, and the survivors of the crew. Will you be able to thrive in this place, or will starvation, bandits, wild animals or bitter infighting destroy you?"

A new start that gives you 60 starving, penniless, (mostly) unarmed, unskilled, badly equipped characters, floating in the ocean in a pretty scary part of the map, being hunted by slavers.

Why being hunted by slavers? Once word gets around that 60 stateless refugees have arrived on the island, the slavers going hunting for this ‘walking el dorado’.

In addition, there are 8 slightly rugged sailors, and a few ‘special characters’: the captain, the first mate, a cartographer, a stowaway discovered on the voyage, and the leader of the refugee group, and perhaps more? The background story is told through the documents they have in their pockets.

These characters and sailors will be the key to the survival of the refugees, but perhaps there are further secrets…

Better for roleplaying, trying to keep everyone alive. Serious grinders may find it too easy, especially if you have no problem letting half of them die right away. That’s not nice!

Made in Experimental 0.98.28

Additional Global Settings changes:
Max Faction Size: 256
Max Squad Size: 76
Max Number of attacks slots: 3
Added a bunch of new (lore friendly) names to the name lists for less repetition with drifters.

If you have mods that conflict with the above (i.e. attack slots x5), just load them *under* this one.

Have fun. Feedback welcome~ Planning to expand the start, as well as story related ‘encounters’ across the island.
